Creative Togetherness ~ Monthly painting session

For a long time now I've toyed with the idea of starting a painting group. When I set eyes on this north-Brisbane location, I booked it in straight away. This weekend, my dream came to fruition - My monthly painting sessions commenced!

Covered completely with rust, surrounded by beautiful bushland, with giant glass doors opening out onto nature; this super inspiring place was the perfect place to get together with like minded souls, to paint.

I began the session with a bit of guided, collaborative art-therapy to tap into our feelings ... and then we all went to our own canvasses to work on our ideas freely. 

There was a calm, yet 'belonging' kind of feel in the space, as we all worked on our canvasses, enjoyed the view, drank tea, and chatted. Perfect ~ Just how I wanted it.

We'd occasionally leave our own painting to go admire each other's progress and share ideas. The best thing about the session was that we could creatively connect and realise we wouldn't be judged ... it was purely a space to create. Ohhh ... so wonderful! Such a nice feeling.

Occasionally I'd share some creative tips and ideas to experiment with, then leave the artists to do their own wonderful thing. I like to create a sense of community, rather than a 'class', because it's a much lovelier way to work. We all have such amazing gifts to share!
