The Making of Beautiful Sorrow

I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. I know from personal experience how hard it is to find comfort in these words, when it feels like everything in Life is going to shit. But I also know from personal experience that it is true.

There is magic hidden in our suffering, as well as being clearly evident in our joys.

When I first started creating this piece, I was at absolute rock bottom. I had experienced days of such intense blackness that I lay there in my bed thinking I would prefer to be dead than experience such suffering. I had no idea how I could possibly more forward from here. I felt as broken as they come.

Yet as the days passed and I stepped into my pain and felt it fully, my sorrow began to shift. Slowly but surely, I met a sense of peace with my experience. I discovered the hidden beauty behind sorrow. And my goodness, it was magnificent.

I think we all experience defining moments in our Lives. This moment for me is one of them; a time where I have finally begun to embrace all the parts of me and let them be seen in the world. A time when the depths of my sadness showed me there's truly nothing to fear. A time when I realised, that the path to heaven and the path to hell can both lead us to the ultimate resting place - within our Spiritual Hearts.

We can never go wrong. Even when we think we've turned so far from our path that we'll never find home again, this is when we can be closest to God ... Because from this place, we can fully surrender and let ourselves be led by the wisdom of the Universe, an intelligence so exquisite, it knows how to make planets orbit the sun and create stars from where there was nothing.
