Unboxing inky art supplies

Hello, colourful beauty 🌈 💗🌿

Today I’m taking you on a peek inside some of my favourite art materials - acrylic inks! Working with inks feels similar to watercolour paints - they are water-like and flowy and mix beautifully together, the pigments are bright and vibrant and most importantly … inks are soooo relaxing and exciting and freeing and achievable to paint with!

I especially love to use inks to create beautiful, washy backgrounds, like you can see here in my latest artwork, ‘Animal Messengers’. See the bluish area under the rainbow, and the pinky oranges above? That’s the work of beautiful acrylic inks! Inks are wonderful for covering a surface with colour, and then collaging/painting over the top. So. much. fun!

This morning I received a new set of ‘Art Spectrum’ inks from the Sydney Art Store. They have arrived just in time to share with participants in my Intuitive Vision Boards workshop this Sat 23rd Jan in Brighton, Queensland.

If you’re in the Brisbane area and you’d love to have a go at using these beautiful inks, you can book one of my last tickets for Intuitive Vision Boards HERE. I’ll be teaching simple, colourful ways to represent your intentions (and feel aligned in the process!) using inks, collage, mindfulness and more. I’m so looking forward to be out and about sharing mindful art-making this weekend in-person! It’s been so long!

Here’s to a week of flowy, mindful, empowering creativity 💗💗💗

With love,
